First day with 125 matches

There were matches from early morning until late night on the first day of GAC Group 2014 ITTF World Tour – Swedish Open. In total 125 matches were played. Host nation Sweden won 16 out of 39 matches. On Thursday the qualification continues and it will be decided who reaches the main draw. To emphazise the high standard of the tournatment, Sweden’s Jens Lundqvist, ranked at 65 on the latest world ranking has to qualify. There are only two weeks left to the Swedish Open Championships in Eriksdalshallen. The tournament will be at the abslute highest level with a lot of world table tennis stars competing. Over 300 players from 50 countries will participate.
